Spotify

This application needs no introduction. It’s undisputed best streaming app out there on any platform.

Cyberghost VPN

There are so many VPN apps out there. But I recommend Cyberghost VPN for casual and every type of user. Cyberghost VPN is one of the best VPN out there you can use. There is no complexity around this VPN. This is so much simple to use, that’s why I recommend Cyberghost VPN

Avira antivirus

Avira antivirus is simple yet effective antivirus. This is my go-to antivirus on any laptop/desktop.

CCleaner

This app does a good job at cleaning junk data and keeping your PC clean and fresh. You must have seen many cleaner apps on Android, but this cleaner app is available on PC. In last few years I have never used any app to clean out the junk data, I used clean it by myself manually. But now it’s no brainer. Just install this app and rest is taken care.

uTorrent

uTorrent — you can use it to download content from the internet. I like this app so much, because it’s very easy to use and it also has a remote app. There is one use case; where you can add torrents from your Android device while you are away from home and still able to add Torrent to be downloaded on uTorrent, which is running on a PC sitting at your home. Sounds cool!! So, because of this one feature this is my go-to torrent application.

Google Drive

This is newest addition in my best apps. The reason is Google drive allows you to upload files as well as photos from PC to the cloud with the simple application. It’s very easy to use and it does all the complex things for you. The uploaded content will be available for you on any device like Android, PC, Android TV etc. So, this is a one recent addition in my must have applications on PC, just due to enormous ecosystem around it.

Sumatra PDF

So, let’s be real, there are around 80 to 90% of the users who are using PDF reader just for reading. So, let’s talk about the simplicity and user friendliness of the PDF reader. This app is by far the lightweight app available for PC. There is one thing which stands out for me - This app is having is tabbed reading mode, so you can open multiple PDF and it will open in tabbed mode for reading.

VLC media player

VLC media player has been around for many years. Now this has conquered the word. We can easily say it’s the best video player on PC. Thanks to all the developers behind the media player. Thanks for making this video player available to the all users and thanks for making it open source. This is sad though as this is not the best video player on Android. This title goes to MX Player.

Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office — no matter how hard I try to avoid this application; it always lands in my best application on PC and it’s trying really hard to be the one of best application on Android as well. Please don’t forget that this app has been around for more than two decades and people are very familiar with this app than any other App around the world. So naturally the information is transferred using the Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint. You also need to install this app, just so that you can communicate with the rest of the audience.

Now the best thing is VBA macro coding. From developer perspective this is a go to App for any automation, where your admin restricts you to install any applications and firewall blocks your system from using resources not meant to be used like web-sockets etc.

f.lux

This is one app which dims your screen after the sunset. It also turns screen to gray-scale so that you can avoid blue light which naturally forces you to stay awake. Some users unable to sleep at night due to the PC, they can try out this application. See whether it helps you too, to have a good sleep after your work.

Musicbee

If you are not using spotify, Amazon music or Apple music, then I think you are relying on offline music. In this case, you must try MusicBee. This is one of the best apps to listen to music.
